Statistically, children today have more body fat than they did 10 years ago.
There are a number of reasons for this: 1) they are less active due to
the use of computers, video games etc. 2) They watch more T.V.
than ever before. 3) Schools do not have required PE classes. 4) They
eat more fast food and junk food; we now have super size fries and mega
burgers. The frightening part of all this is health problems for young
adults is on the rise. Diabetes has increased for children at the rate
of 22% and cardiovascular disease will strike at younger ages than ever
before.
What can we do for young adults?
This
program is designed to keep the younger generation focused on why
health and strength training is important. With technology today,
it is so easy for kids these days to sit at home in front of the T.V.,
computer or video games becoming what we call today as “couch
potatoes”.
Young
adults from the ages of 10-16 require a safe intensity level designed
to improve muscular strength as well as cardio respiratory fitness.
In
addition to our personal training we offer nutritional counseling that
focuses on learning better eating habits to improve body
composition. Our goal is to see that your child and this generation get
a healthier lifestyle.
