Why do I need massage therapy?
|
|
Swedish massage employs basic movements that can be slow and gentle, vigorous or bracing depending on the desired results. Normally, it is a very slow and relaxing type of massage. Deep tissue massage is designed for those who have specific muscle problems. The aim is to affect the various layers of fascia that support muscle tissues and loosen bonds between the layers of connective tissue. The goal of deep tissue massage is also to lengthen and dissolve the knots acquired by everyday stress and tension. Neuromuscular therapy uses static pressure on specific trigger points and helps to interrupt self-perpetuating pain/tension cycle and allows the body to begin healing. Because of the different time arrangements that we offer, each massage is designed around the individual according to your needs. A half hour massage is designed for back, neck and shoulder work, however, if there is another section of your body that you would rather have massaged, please feel free to ask. A full hour massage is designed for a complete full body massage and you may request a specific section to be worked on for a longer period of time. This massage helps the entire body to relax, plus it allows longer time to work on particular stress areas. |
